Formula One Team (RB) have announced that Australian star driver Daniel Ricciardo will be leaving the team with immediate effect. Liam Lawson the Red Bull junior driver has been announced as his replacement. While uncertainty looms large over the Aussie driver, Red Bull has shown interest in Daniel Ricciardo. They are also considering to offer him a new role in their team. Daniel was stranded for the 2023 season following his exit from McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo joined AlphaTauri (formerly known as Red Bull's sister team) mid-season to replace Nyck De Vries, who was seen as underperforming. 

 

Ricciardo's contract with the team was set to expire at the end of the season, and he had been linked to a potential return to Red Bull. However, AlphaTauri decided to replace him early. Liam Lawson his replacement has been a junior driver for Rb and Red Bull racing too, Lawson now has six races to prove why he deserves the vacant seat alongside Yuki Tsunoda at the sister team next season.

Advisor Helmut Marko has revealed that Red Bull are "interested" in potentially offering Daniel Ricciardo a new role within the team.
Red Bull is not considering Daniel to offer a seat as they sorted in that way but would like to retain his services for PR activities.

"We are interested. Daniel is one of the most popular   Formula One drivers, especially in the United States," Marko told Motorsport-Total.

 

 

Just like everyone Marko too expects the 35-year-old to retire from motorsport all together.

He also stated that he does not see Ricciardo moving to another category to continue his racing career. Marko believes Daniel has to take one of the most important decisions of his life post-RB exit.

 

"I find it hard to imagine him moving into another racing category. I don't believe that.  On the other hand, the question is whether he will see the PR activities if he is no longer actively racing himself. Ricciardo has a lot of money in his bank account. This is an important decision about his life, how he wants to arrange his future life," added. Marko. "

“I’ve loved this sport my whole life. It’s wild and wonderful and been a journey. To the teams and individuals that have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love the sport sometimes more than me … thank you. It’ll always have its highs and lows but it’s been fun and truth be told I wouldn’t change it. Until the next adventure," Ricciardo wrote in a post on Instagram. “
