McLaren's Lando Norris took the pole position in the Singapore Grand Prix after beating Red Bull's Max Verstappen in the Saturday night qualifying session at Marina Bay circuit. The Q3 session included a crash from Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.
Lando Norris takes pole at Singapore
Norris set a lap time of 1m 29.525s in a one-lap shootout following Carlos Sainz's crash and saw himself finish a couple of tenths clear of Verstappen and Mercedes drivers. Lewis Hamilton saw himself take home the third spot after pipping his teammate George Russell, who finished fourth.
The driver from Australia and McLaren, Oscar Piastri had to satisfy with a P5 finish. Surprisingly, it was the driver from Haas, Nico Hulkenberg who claimed the sixth spot. Fernando Alonso, who drives for the Aston Martin saw himself taking the seventh position just ahead of the eight spot Yuki Tsunoda.

Both the Ferrari drivers had an unforgettable session as they could not make it in the top five. Charles Leclerc was not able to set a lap time in the Q3 session and last year's winner, Carlos Sainz had a crash.
Both the Williams drivers, Alexander Albon and Franco Colapinto took the eleventh and twelfth spot. The 2022 winner of the Singapore Grand Prix, Sergio Perez once again had a qualifying session to forget as he finished P13. Kevin Magnussen only managed to set a lap time that saw him take the fourteenth position.
The fifteenth spot was taken by Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo finished in the sixteenth spot. Lance Stroll had to manage with seventeenth position and the eighteenth spot went to Pierre Gasly. The last two drivers on the grid were Kick Sauber Ferrari's Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
Max Verstappen leads the Drivers' standings
Red Bull's Max Verstappen leads the drivers' standings with 313 points and second-placed Lando Norris (254) is just 59 points behind the leader. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is third-placed and 19 points behind Norris.
McLaren leads the Constructors' standings
McLaren now leads the charts when it comes to the constructors' standings with 476 points to their name. Red Bull is 20 points behind the leaders with 456 points. Ferrari (425) is firmly placed third and 31 points behind Red Bull.
