India rule WTC 2023-2025 points table

India shot to no.1 spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-2025 points table after Australia's decisive win over New Zealand in the first Test of their two-match series on March 3, Sunday. Australia thrashed New Zealand by 172 runs in their Test series opener which propelled Rohit Sharma's India to the top of the ICC WTC standings, with a percentage (PCT) of 64.58%.

 

Australia thrashed New Zealand in 1st Test

Nathan Lyon and Cameron Green emerged as the standout performers for Australia in their commanding 172-run victory over New Zealand in the first Test on Sunday, March 3. On Day 4 of the opening Test, Lyon's spin bowling captivated spectators as he dismantled the opposition, achieving a bowling figures of 6 for 65 in 26 overs, causing New Zealand's batting collapse. Notably, Australia defeated Kiwis on New Zealand's soil after eight years.

 

SRH rope in new bowling bowling coach after Dale Steyn's exit


Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made a forced change to their coaching staff ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Head coach Daniel Vettori roped in his former teammate James Franklin as a replacement for Dale Steyn. The former South Africa pacer pulled out of IPL 2024 due to personal reasons which left SRH without a bowling coach with a few weeks to go in the 17th season.

Despite Harmanpreet Kaur missing her second match in a row due to a niggle, Mumbai Indians (MI) continued their dominance against Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with an easy seven-wicket win. MI chased down a below par target of 132 with 29 balls to spare at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru to rise to the top spot on the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 points table.

MS Dhoni and his Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) teammate Dwayne Bravo were captured enjoying themselves with a dandiya dance on the second night of Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding bash. Sakshi Dhoni, MS Dhoni's wife, also participated in the dance.
