After attending an emotional ceremony at Court Philippe-Chatrier, Rafael Nadal addressed the media at the French Open and brought to light a hilarious episode involving himself and Andy Murray. The 22-time Grand Slam winner was reunited with three of his biggest rivals- Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray- during the special presentation at Ronald Garros.

Rafael Nadal Reads Andy Murray's Message
The tennis fans became overjoyed after witnessing the Big 4 on the same dais again, and following the culmination of the event, Nadal revealed that it was not the first he caught up with Murray after they both retired. Nadal divulged that Murray had him text a month ago. The Spaniard showcased what Murray had written, and he admitted that he misinterpreted the text on the first occasion but figured out Murray's dry sense of humour afterwards.
“My good friend Andy, we were not in touch for a while,” the 22-time Major winner started. “The day that Arsenal beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, when the match just finished, after one second, he text me a message, telling me… I’m gonna read because it’s quite good.
Nadal cut himself off, getting his phone out and scrolling through until he got to Murray’s message. “I feel that it’s quite interesting,” he added, explaining why he was going to such lengths.
“‘Hey Rafa, haven’t spoken to you in a while. Just checking in to make sure you are okay’,” he recited.
“So, honestly, [it] take me like five seconds to realise what I was reading, because at the beginning, I said, ‘Okay, he’s such a nice guy. He’s asking how I’m doing, family.’ After five seconds, I said, ‘This always British sense of humour!’”
Nadal also revealed that he did not take revenge on Murray when PSG knocked Arsenal out in the semifinal of the UCL.
“By the way, I didn't text him back when Inter beat Arsenal. Well, PSG, sorry,” he laughed.
