Playing for Los Angeles Dodgers in the Major League Baseball (MLB), some may forget the kind of season Shohei Ohtani is having after rehabbing from Tommy John surgery but former Atlanta Braves player Freddie Freeman is not one of them. Meanwhile, after the 2023 season, Ohtani signed a 10-year contract worth $700 million with the Dodgers.
What did Freedie Freeman say about Shohei Ohtani?
While speaking to Heidi Watney on Apple TV, Freeman spoke highly about Ohtani's exceptional season and said, "People are forgetting that he [Shohei Ohtani] is rehabbing [from] Tommy John [surgery] throughout the whole day, and then he goes and does what he does at night as a hitter is absolutely amazing to me. He's on mission, it seems like, this year. I think 50 [HRs] - 50 [SBs] is very doable."
The Japanese baseball pitcher is just three homers and two stolen bases away from achieving 50-50. Freeman thinks it's a feat that Ohtani might achieve against the Atlanta Braves. Whereas Ohtani had an off night as he went for 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

The other top baseballers of 2024 according to Freddie Freeman
Apart from Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman thinks Aaron Judge, Francisco Lindor and Bobby Witt Jr. are having a wonderful season themselves. Judge already has 52 homers against his name playing for the New York Yankees.
Francisco Lindor is pushing hard with his batting and fielding along with his New York Mets teammates for their team to secure a spot in the playoffs. Playing for the Kansas City Royals in the American League, Bobby Witt Jr. has also been making some headlines with his performances.
"I am a fan of baseball, not just my teammates, but of course around the league. When you get to see a season like this, even like Francisco Lindor, Bobby Witt Jr., Aaron Judge, those guys, you take a step back and appreciate what they are doing," Freeman told Apple TV.
Due to the current health issues Freddie Freeman's youngest son, Maximus is going through, it has not affected his dad's performance during this season as he has performed whenever his team needed him.
