Major League Baseball (MLB) has seen stars in the past and will do so in the coming future as well, but currently, the league is owned by Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge. With their performances in the MLB, they have taken the sport by storm and can be called arguably the best two players to have graced the field of their generation.

Aaron Judge leads Shohei Ohtani in terms of home runs

Both Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge have continued to gather respect and fanbase across the world. Their ability to hit home runs at will makes them a duo to watch on television.

Currently, Ohtani and Judge are the two players in the league who have more than 50 home runs to their names this season. But, it is the New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge who holds the lead over Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani as the former has 58 home runs to Ohtani's 53.

Four home runs behind his tally of 62

Unless Ohtani manages to put forward another 3-home-run performance, Judge will once again lead in the power category. The Yankees captain is also 4 home runs behind his record of 62 and has the potential to tie it.

With just three games remaining in the season, Judge will need to find and control the power of hitting if he has to exceed the 60 mark for the second time in his career.

It looks highly impossible that Ohtani will surpass Judge in terms of home runs, but the LA Dodgers star is just two longballs away from becoming the first player to record 55 home runs and 55 stolen bases in a single season.

Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge are MVP frontrunners

Since the past few years, both Ohtani and Judge have fought for the American League MVP award. Despite being the best two players in the league, in the last three years, Ohtani has won the prize twice and Judge only managed to win it once in 2022.

Since Ohtani's switch from Los Angeles Angels to LA Dodgers, doors have opened for both players to win the MVP award. They are currently the favourites to win the award in their respective leagues.
