Thompson removed his farewell message and other Warriors-related posts from his Instagram.

Klay Thompson, known for his incredible three-point shooting, made a significant mark in Golden State Warriors history. However, his time with the team came to an end this offseason when he joined the Dallas Mavericks. After leaving the Warriors, Thompson removed his farewell message and other Warriors-related posts from his Instagram account. He basically wiped out his life at the Golden State with fans finding his act to be bizarre.

According to GSW Ball Report on X, Thompson had earlier shared a heartfelt message to bid farewell to the Warriors, where he had spent 11 seasons. Alongside his personal photos, he had previously posted images of his work with the brand ANTA and other content related to the Warriors. Now, his Instagram features posts about his new team, the Mavericks, and his ongoing work with ANTA.

Thompson was drafted 11th overall by the Warriors in 2011 and became a key part of their successful years. He was crucial in helping the Warriors win four NBA championships, establishing the team’s dominance. This year’s offseason marks the end of an era for the Warriors’ famous trio: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

The departure of Thompson means that this core group is no longer together. In a recent episode of "The Draymond Green Show" podcast, which aired on July 2, Draymond Green revealed that he did not try to persuade Thompson to stay with the Warriors. Instead, Green accepted Thompson’s decision and is now focused on the future, both for himself and the team.

"... and the conversation starts as small talk, and you're just kind of prepping yourself," Green said. "... I was headed to my daughter's recital so I wasn't able to go as in-depth to the conversation as maybe I would have ... I was just able to listen, and it wasn't like, 'Yo, we could finish like this,' or, 'You should rethink this.'" revealed Green

The trio of Green, Thompson, and Curry was the most lethal and dynamic trio of the NBA. The trio had six NBA final appearances with individual awards too. Green lauded how Thompson was able to stay a former teammate and a good friend instead of being hung up on the past. The two former teammates will now enter the upcoming season as opponents.
