It was back in March when the Los Angeles Lakers along with Logan Paul & KSI's Prime Hydration company joined hands and began a new partnership that marked Prime as the new sports drink for the Lakers. Since the deal, there has been very little news regarding the partnership.
A post shared by the LA Lakers on Instagram
But on Friday, 20th September, the franchise gave the first glimpse of the LA-edition Prime Hydration drink and it was completely done in the team's authentic purple and gold colours. The official page of the LA Lakers shared three different pictures on their Instagram account.
The first two pictures included LA's cheerleaders and the third image had three bottles in it on the court of Cryto.com arena, giving fans an insight into how the bottles match up with the team's court.

The caption for the Instagram images read, "Lakers x @drinkprime Hydration coming your way, Los Angeles. Check out the exclusive PRIME Hydration Lakers collab bottle on shelves now!"
The new LA-themed bottles of Prime Hydration are now available in the stores. The collab features a new bottle design but it is still unclear whether it will have a different taste or not.
Prime Hydration hit with a lawsuit
After the announcement made back in March that Prime would be the official sports drink for the LA Lakers, the company had other plans as they rolled out a unique Olympic-themed bottle that featured NBA star Kevin Durant.
The bottle was released as Team USA were in search of a gold medal at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024. The bottle featured branding that the Olympic committee believed violated the Olympic trademark.
The bottle even had Team USA colours and Durant's name over a gold star. Not just this, they even mentioned Durant's Olympic accomplishments on the bottle. According to the lawsuit filed by the Olympic Committee, terms such as "Olympic," "Olympian," and "Team USA" were used on the bottles.
The following terms were repeatedly used by Prime while advertising and promoting the drink and that just opened the doors for a lawsuit. The Olympic Committee in the past tried to stop Prime from using the trademarked phrases but the company ignored their requests.
There was another lawsuit against Prime earlier this year where the company was accused of deceiving the customers. They used to include more caffeine than the 200 milligrams mentioned on the bottle.
