LeBron James and Savannah James set high standards for 'power couples' as the duo has been together for more than half of their lives and married on 14th September 2013. Especially when there are breakups and divorces involved in high-profile matters, the couple has stuck through thick and thin.

None of this would have happened beyond 2003 had LeBron James' career started elsewhere than Cleveland. LeBron's wife, Savannah admitted that the couple could have parted ways if he had been drafted by another team far from her hometown, Akron.
In episode three of the second season of her podcast, Savannah said, "I don't know what would've happened. Thanks Cleveland Cavaliers."
Savannah James even admitted to a potential breakup when she was talking to the co-host of her podcast, April McDaniel. To this date, the couple talk about this topic.

But, everything worked out well for the couple as LeBron started his career at Cleveland Cavaliers. He got time to settle in with her and start a family. They had their first child Bronny James in 2004, who was drafted by his dad's side and younger son, Bryce in 2007.
LeBron James played for the Cavaliers until 2010 before he made his move to the Miami Heat. He had a four-year stint with the Heat. In 2014, he rejoined the Cavaliers and even won the team's maiden title in 2016.

LeBron James will enter his 22nd National Basketball Association (NBA) season and with that, he has shown signs of decline from his A game. He has made a fortune by creating a business empire worth billions. However, he speaks very highly of his wife who made all the sacrifices and contributions along the way.
After leading the USA to a gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, James talking to Andscape said, "My wife takes care of the business, man. She’s the best. Without her, I wouldn’t even be in this position to be able to do what I do and love the game. I love it. So, to have my wife and my two boys and my daughter here and the rest of my family here, it was everything.”
