Caitlin Clark is one of the most recognized WNBA stars in the world.

One of the foremost figures when it comes to Women's Basketball, Caitlin Clark, not only impresses with her on-court play for the Indiana Fever but makes a dashing impact off the field with her generous activities. Contrary to most players, Clark is not using her commercial success to land advertisements and branding to increase her earnings, instead, she is more dedicated to giving back to her Iowa community.

Caitlin Clark has teamed with Scholastic to donate 1,000 books to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa. This campaign seeks to inspire children and promote education, particularly in light of decreased childhood literacy rates due to increased screen usage and the long-term impacts of COVID-19 on education.

According to Scholastic's 2022 study, the percentage of children aged 6 to 17 who read virtually every day has decreased from 37% in 2010 to 28% in 2022.

"Reading and education have always been hugely important in my life. I remember picking out the books from the Scholastic flyer and how empowering that was for me as a child, and how motivated I was to read," Clark stated earlier this year. Now, she's using her platform to provide that same experience for young readers in need.

The Boys & Girls Club also shared a heartfelt post on social media, showcasing children excitedly holding up books like The Tales of Sasha, and wrote: "Thank you to @caitlinclarkfoundation, who worked with Scholastic to make a donation of 1,000 books to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa! What an awesome way to support local youth."
