The Dallas Wings are all set to host Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, July 3rd at the College Park Center, Arlington, Texas. All eyes would be on players Arike Ogunbowale, DiJonai Carrington & other key players, whether they start against the Phoenix Mercury or not.

Will Arike Ogunbowale, DiJonai Carrington & other key players play against Phoenix Mercury?

The Dallas Wings have had a rocky start to the ongoing WNBA season. Even after drafting No.1 pick Paige Bueckers, the Texas team has been hit hard by injuries, which has left them reeling in the first quarter of the campaign.

Things have gone from bad to worse ahead of Thursday's clash against the Phoenix Mercury, with five players being listed on the team's injury report. They are already without the services of forward Maddy Siegrist (right knee) and Tyasha Harris (left knee).

Arike Ogunbowale is the latest on the injury report as she is suffering from a thumb injury. She has been a regular starter for the Wings this season as she was averaging 16.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 18 games. Ogunbowale clocked 34 minutes against the Washington Mystics as she notched up 14 points, two rebounds and three assists.

DiJonai Carrington has already missed the last three games and is doubtful for the Thursday's clash against the Mercury. Carrington alongside Ogunbowale did not feature in last night's practice session. Wings reporter Drake Keller feels their forward Myisha Hines-Allen might have a shot at returning as she is listed as questionable due to an ankle injury.

We’re just hoping for good news from the medical staff, coach Koclanes said whiled speaking to the media after the practice. Hopeful on a couple, so we’ll see who we have. We’ll do our best with what we’ve got.

When asked whether Bueckers could shift to forward due to the growing injury issues, Koclanes didn't rule it out.

Everything is on the table tomorrow, he said.
