Phoenix Suns' talisman Kevin Durant holds the distinguished title of being the only basketball player in the world to win four gold medals in the Olympics. His fourth came at the Paris Olympics, where he led Team USA to yet another first-place finish. Having achieved almost everything on the court, taking part in the Olympics holds a special place in his heart and while speaking about it he could not help getting emotional about it.

Kevin Durant Overwhelmed with Emotions

In the trailer of the upcoming Netflix documentary entitled "Court of Gold," Durant is seen breaking down in tears as he makes an emotional admission about his Olympic experience.

"I come from a neighborhood where people don't even talk to each other," he said. "So much hate in the world, too. "When people get to start laughing and joking for a game of ball, it's cool to me. It gets me emotional."

Durant also revealed how he is moved by the fact that fans go to great lengths to take part in the Olympics.

"It's crazy to see people travel so long to come see their favorite player in the Olympics," he continued. 

"They spend their money; they bring their whole family. It's just dope for me."

Durant Owes His Life to Basketball

At the end of the clip, Durant gets even more emotional as he admits how basketball changed his life forever.

 "The game has saved my life," Durant said. "It brought me and my family out of a lot of (expletive). I'm just grateful for it. For real."

"Court of Gold" reveals a behind-the-scenes look at the players' Olympic journey in the Paris Olympics last. It consists of Durant, his Team USA teammate Steph Curry, and Spurs' breakout star Victor Wembanyama.
