Will Caitlin Clark start against New York Liberty?

The 23-year-old guard will be suiting up for Saturday's clash against New York Liberty as her name is not on the team's injury report. The star player has already missed five games on the trot as she was suffering from a left quad strain that she sustained in the last match that these two teams played on May 24. 

With Caitlin Clark back at her fully best, she will now reclaim her spot in the starting lineup. During her absence, veteran guard Sydney Colson was called up to fill in her spot but she will now be moved to the bench. 

Caitlin Clark took part in Friday's practice session as head coach Stephanie White confirmed that the star is back on track to play, barring any last minute setbacks. 

I felt like today was better than yesterday in terms of just, you know, movement and balance and feeling like she's getting back into rhythm, timing, all of those things, White told reporters. And, you know, as long as we don't have any regression, she's gonna be ready to roll.

Caitlin Clark has started 46 games including the playoffs in her young career with the Indiana Fever. Her consistency is something which nobody can question and it will not change now. The franchise were patiently waiting for her return to the court and now that she's fully fit, Clark will resume her role in the starting lineup. 

Indiana Fever starting lineup against New York Liberty

The Indiana Fever will get back to their original starting lineup following the return of Caitlin Clark. She will resume her job at point guard alongside Kelsey Mitchell in the backcourt. Lexie Hull and Natasha Howard will be playing as forward, while Aliyah Boston will be in the frontcourt. 

Not just this, Sophie Cunningham also returns as she was suffering from right ankle injury and will be starting Saturday's clash against the Liberty.
