Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and his wife Savannah James have all the right reasons to be proud of their kids, Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri. Bronny will be seen playing alongside his dad, LeBron, in the upcoming National Basketball Association (NBA) season. Bryce is also no less as he continues to pursue his NBA dreams. But their daughter Zhuri has done something everybody is proud of her.
What did LeBron James have to say about his daughter Zhuri?
While speaking to the media ahead of the Lakers' first preseason game, James proudly spoke about Zhuri's recent volleyball tryout and the best part about this was, that he was sitting next to his son, Bronny James.
LeBron James shed light on some other topics as well including him taking Bronny's baseline after a highly-discussed practice session and his wife, Savannah James playing the NBA 2K25 as Bronny. Then he came on Zhuri's volleyball tryout.
"Zhuri, she's nine years old and she went to try out for under-11 volleyball. You know what's even crazier? She went up there to try for under-11. They asked her, what're you trying out for?," LeBron James said.
"She said under eleven. And they bumped her up to under 12. So she's playing three ages over. So we're all just super proud. She's gonna be good," James added.
LeBron James recalls the time he knew his son was special
After breaking countless records in NBA which includes the league's all-time scoring record, LeBron James is set to make history in another way as well. James and his son Bronny will become the first father-son duo to feature in the NBA. On top of that, James is the oldest player in the league.
During his team's media day duties, he spoke to the Spectrum SportsNet team and mentioned when he recognized Bronny's potential and called him 'special'.
"When he was like, five or six years old, ... he was playing on the little league, ... in our hometown of Akron, Ohio. And, I think he was like five or six years old. And he ... had grabbed a rebound and drove coast to coast through the lane, through a couple of the other kids and laid it up," James further added.
"... And I looked over at his mom and I was like 'Oh, he's special. Like, he's special.' She was like, 'What? He's five years old. Like, what are you talking about?' I'm like, 'I've seen this before. Like, I know I've seen this before,'" James concluded.
