The defending Western Conference champion will play a total of 17 games in January, hence it will be a total of 25 no-shows from Luka, disqualifying him from the major awards race. A maximum of 15 absences are permitted. Doncic has so far averaged 28.1 points per game, which includes 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists.
The injury happened during his second game back after missing two games albeit left heel contusion. Mavericks, who are currently positioned at 4th in the Western Conference table, are 7-4 without Doncic this NBA season.
