Luka Doncic and the LA Lakers came away with a strong NBA Cup win over the LA Clippers on Tuesday. Doncic had yet another great 40-point performance, but there is still something bothering him on the court, and it certainly was not the Clippers' defense.
Luka Doncic issues warning to NBA
After a strong 135-118 win, Doncic had an important message for the Organizers, regarding the players' safety. While he spoke about playing an NBA Cup-style of basketball in Europe, Luka informed the reporters that he faced dangerous issues with the newly designed court.
"Adjust the courts, please," Doncic said ."It's just slippery. It's dangerous."
Doncic also said that he and other players from both sides slipped various times in the game, and it sure did happen during the game. The NBA decided to design courts for the NBA Cup uniquely, especially for branding, and also to help fans separate regular-season games from the NBA Cup games.
Even after playing on a different and dangerous court, Luka Doncic, dropped a masterclass against the Clippers. He registered 43 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists in 38 minutes. LeBron James and Austin Reaves added 25 and 31 points in the win.
Luka Doncic talks about Championship in middle of the season
Luka Doncic's arrival in Los Angeles made the Lakers one of the hottest teams in the western conference. There were no better players than Luka to take the charge after LeBron James in LA.
However, Doncic made it obvious that he was not going to be happy with just the attention, he had bigger dreams for himself. In an interview with iconic rapper, Snoop Dogg, on Access Hollywood, he revealed that he wanted a legacy like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James with the Lakers.
"Kobe brought so many championships here. LeBron brought a championship here. So I want to be the next one to do that, for sure," Doncic said. "I met Kobe, I'm playing with LeBron, just as a little kid in Slovenia, I just wanted to play basketball. Just wanted to touch the NBA. And now I'm playing with the best."

This season, Luka Doncic has been playing the sport with an aim. Without any doubt, he is going through the best season of his career, and the Lakers are playing the best basketball since the Bubble. Doncic is averaging 35.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
