The Miami Heat will lock horns with the Golden State Warriors in an interconference regular-season clash on Wednesday. The Heat received a big news on their stat center Bam Adebayo, following Tuesday' practice session. 

Latest update on Bam Adebayo

The status of the Paris Olympics gold medalist was changed to questionable on the injury report following missing six back-to-back games due to a toe sprain.

Adebayo took part in the practice on the eve of Miami's blockbuster clash against Jimmy Butler and the Warriors. He is likely to make his return, barring ant last-minute setbacks. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra talked about Adebayo's status after practice on Tuesday and started that the final call will be taken on the start center closer to tip off.

"He’s had two good practices in a row," Spoelstra said. "There’s stuff behind the scenes. He’s really been putting in the time, the treatment, the active work. I think it’s been a responsible plan and then we’ll see what the trainers say in the next 24 hours."

 

 

Adebayo last played on November 5 against the Denver Nuggets, with his outing cut short after just eight minutes. The Heat's star player is averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game on 45.2% shooting from the floor.

In the absence of Adebayo, the Heat have done well as they registered four wins out of six games. Overall, the team holds an 8-6 record an currently sits in seventh place in the East.

Latest update on Tyler Herro

Meanwhile, Tyler Herro took part in Tuesday's practice but remains on the sidelines with a left ankle injury. The former Sixth Man of the Year gone through surgery in September, and there is no update on his return just yet.
