The Miami Heat released their injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Eight players are listed on the injury report, headlined by the starting backcourt of Norman Powell and Tyler Herro.
Latest update on Normann Powell
Powell is placed as "questionable" with a left ankle sprain. It is a new injury he suffered after facing groin and hip injuries earlier. Powell has missed four games because of those injuries. The Heat will hope his ailment isn't a big issue. Powell is their top scorer, averaging 25.0 points in 17 outings. The Heat will need that against the Mavericks, who are No.5 on defense.
Latest update on Tyler Herro
Herro is available to play despite being featured on the injury report because of his left ankle surgery. The star player returned on November 24 against Dallas and has played all four games since.
Latest update on other players
Jaime Jaquez Jr., Andrew Wiggins and Nikola Jovic have also been changed to available on the official injury report. Jaquez Jr. came back on Monday against the Clippers after missing time because of right groin strain. Wiggins is on the injury report because of left hip flexor strain. Jovic returned on Saturday after dealing with right hip impingement.
Keshad Johnson and Pelle Larsson are the other ruled out players. They are both placed as "questionable." Johnson is facing a head injury and illness, while Larson has a right toe sprain. The duo, along with Powell, will likely be game-time calls.
Terry Rozier remains the only player confirmed out for the Miami Heat as he continues to stay away because of a gambling investigation.
