The Atlanta Hawks are all set to host the Miami Heat in the final game of the Play-In tournament on Friday, April 18 at the State Farm Arena. The fans are eager to know the availability status of Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins, whether they will start against Atlanta Hawks or not.
Will Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins play against Atlanta Hawks?
Both Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins will start against Atlanta Hawks in the Play-In game of the Eastern Conference. Their availability was confirmed after the team decided to leave them out of the injury report ahead of the do or die clash against the Hawks.
Both the players have dealt with injury issues during the ongoing NBA 2024-25 season. Tyler Herro missed few games late in the regular season due to a thigh contusion. He suffered his injury during April 3 clash against the Memphis Grizzlies. He somehow finished the game with 35 points in 37 minutes.
As a precautionary measure, he had to miss the immediate matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, since then, he has been healthy and only missed the final and inconsequential game of the regular season against the Washington Wizards.
The shooting guard's thigh appeared to be fully recovered during the 9-10 play-in game as he showcased a game-winning performance. Herro registered 38 points, five rebounds and four assists, leading the Miami Heat to a 109-90 victory over Chicago Bulls.
Wiggins didn't face any injuries in the first half while playing for the Golden State Warriors. He only missed a single game for the Warriors but that hasn't been the case while playing for the Miami Heat. The 30-year-old has missed 17 out of 32 regular season games. He has been dealing with a number of injuries including stomach illness, sprained ankle and lower leg contusion. A hamstring injury was the reason for his latest absence.
Wiggins missed six games from March 29 to April 8. Before the Play-In tournament begin, the Miami Heat made sure that Wiggins start against Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans before resting for the final game of the regular season.
Kevin Love, Nikola Jovic (broken right hand) and Pelle Larsson (right ankle sprain) are listed on the team's injury report as questionable.
