While exactly a month has passed since the startling trade that left the NBA world completely stunned, Luka Doncic's transfer to the LA Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks has remained the biggest burning topic of the sport. Ever since the trade transpired the flow of revelations regarding the transaction has been non-stop. In the process, a new entry has dropped.

Anthony Davis Was Not the First Choice of Nico Harrison

As per a new update, Anthony Davis was not the first target of Nico Harrison to exchange with Luka Doncic. Mavs initially targeted Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards.

According to a new report, though, there was one other team Harrison contacted even before the Lakers, but they weren’t interested.

Sam Amick of The Athletic reported today that Harrison reached out to the Timberwolves to inquire about a Luka for Anthony Edwards swap, but he was quickly rebuffed by Minnesota’s front office.

This trade would have made more sense than what eventually prevailed as giving away a 25-year-old Doncic for a 23-year-old Anthony Edwards would have looked more eye-catchy than trading the talisman with 32-year-old Anthony Davis.
