The Phoenix Suns have struggled for consistency throughout this season and their season is almost done. However, they do not have any intentions of going down without putting up a fight and could go all aggressive to bring on board a new recruit ahead of the trade deadline. While the Suns are on course to land Jimmy Butler ahead of the approaching February 6 deadline, there is another sharpshooter on their radar.
Phoenix Suns Aim to Sign Bogdan Bogdanović
As per reports, Atlanta Hawks' shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanović is linked to the Suns. According to the NBA inside, Brett Siegel the Suns have been quietly targeting the Serbian amid the noise around the potential signing of Butler.
“Atlanta Hawks sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic has emerged as a target for the Suns ahead of the trade deadline, league sources told ClutchPoints,” Siegel wrote.
Siegel reveals that the Suns have been active in the trade market as they try to stop their Center Jusuf Nurkic.
“The Phoenix Suns have been active on the trade market leading up to the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline. While the spotlight in Phoenix has been cast on Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler for weeks, a new twist in the Suns' trade plans involves center Jusuf Nurkic,” Siegel said.
Butler Has Been In Scheme of Things For a While
Courtesy of his unstable run, Nurkic has been the focus of the Suns' trade discussions. Nurkic has been averaging 8.6 points, and 9.2 rebounds this season, along with 2.3 rebounds.
Butler has been linked to the Suns since the start of the year and with his relations with the Miami Heat turning sour in the last couple of weeks, the 6-time All-Star is certain to exit Miami. Now it is only a matter of time before the update of Jimmy Butler's trade comes out.
