Story Highlights:

Giannis Antetokounmpo plays as a forward for Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's trade could make headlines during the offseason.

Ever since it has become known that the Bucks' star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is open to exploring opportunities outside of Milwaukee, franchises have lined up to showcase their interest in the player. The assertions of him wanting to move out began amplifying since the Bucks' elimination from the Playoff round. Speculations of his exit are also rife because Damian Lillard is set to remain out for the entire next season due to a torn Achilles Tandon. Lillard's injury departure will leave the Bucks weaker, thereby seemingly pushing Giannis to search for a franchise that can contend for the championship.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Keen to Join Former Rival

There is massive interest from teams from the West, giving rise to sensational rumors of a potential Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo union at the Golden State Warriors. In a new entry to the mix, a side from Eastern Conference is making waves and could even become the new avenue of Giannis.

According to a report by veteran reporter Doug Smith, Giannis Antetokounmpo has kept an eye on a former East rival as a potential landing spot. The journalist stated that there is “mutual interest between Antetokounmpo and the Toronto Raptors.” He also noted that Toronto has all of its first-round picks and could potentially offer a package of four firsts and young players for the two-time league MVP.

Smith did qualify his report by stating that the odds remain “long” that the Raptors could outbid every other team if the Bucks shop their longtime star.

Even if he chooses to leave then endless opportunities may pop open, but it is difficult to believe that the Bucks' will let go of a generational talent like Giannis Antetokounmpo.
