The Philadelphia 76ers have provided big updates on Stars Joel Embiid and Paul George in their latest injury report. Embiid is not on the list and will be available after missing wednesday's 132-121 defeat against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former MVP was on a scheduled break as it was on the second night of a back-to-back.
Latest update on Embiid's return
Embiid already announced during the preseason that he won't be playing on two consecutive nights because of his nagging left injury since the 2023-24 season. The 76ers lost their third game in four outings after Embiid sat out against the Cavaliers.
Latest update on Paul George
Paul George's debut delayed further as he is recovering from a knee surgery. It was announced on Friday by 76ers coach Nick Nurse that the former All-Star will miss at least two more games, including Saturday's game against Toronto, and will consult with doctors to assess his situation.
Latest update on Jared McCain
The Philadelphia 76ers also got another positive update as second-year guard Jared McCain was upgraded to available. The 2024 first-round pick is taking care of his left thumb and left knee injuries.
McCain made his season debut on Tuesday against Chicago because of injury management, but missed Wednesday night's game against Cleveland.
Dominik Barlow is on the same timeline as Paul George and will miss at least two games. The fourth year forward played only two games and has been out because of an elbow injury. Barlow will also consult with his surgeons to assess his recovery.
