The Philadelphia 76ers have dropped injury updates ahead of Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors. There is a big update on the star duo of Joel Embiid and Paul George in the report.
Latest update on Joel Embiid
Embiid is doubtful to make his return from a four-game absence. The former MVP last played on November 8 when the Sixers locked horns with the Raptors at home. Since then, Embiid has been on the sidelines, citing right knee injury management. While he could be close to making a comeback, a doubtful status hints that Embiid will probably sit out Wednesday's game unless the 76ers upgrade him to questionable or probable closer to tip off.
Latest update on Paul George
On the other hand, Paul George made a comeback on Monday against the LA Clippers, playing his first game of the season. He was recovering from a left knee surgery, delaying his season debut. Although, George won't play on Wednesday. He is ruled out, citing left knee injury management.
The Sixers are probably giving him rest as they are playing on the front end of a back-to-back. They will lock horns against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, so George could be scheduled to play that game. He was a full participant in Tuesday's practice with Joel Embiid.
Latest update on Adem Bona, Jared McCain and Kelly Oubre Jr. Bona
Adem Bona is out for two more matches because of a right ankle sprain. Oubre is on the sidelines with a left knee sprain.
On the other hand, McCain is placed as available. He is placed on the injury report citing right thumb surgery recovery. McCain picked up the injury in September. He made his season debut on November 4 and has played four games since then.
