Anthony Davis, who entered the Dallas Mavericks setup after a sensational trade that also saw Luka Doncic being traded to the LA Lakers, has remained out of the scene following his debut game with the Mavs. Davis made an impressive start with his new franchise, scoring 26 points in the premiere show which took place on February 8 against the Houston Rockets, but the showcase took an unfortunate end as he picked up a devastating groin injury in the same game. AD has remained sidelined since then, with reports of his recovery flashing intermittently.

Anthony Davis May Remain Out for the Rest of the Season
The Dallas Mavericks have lately been struck by ill fate when it comes to injuries. As they were already enduring the injury concerns related with Anthony Davis, the franchise was hit by a fresh blow on Monday, when star guard Kyrie Irving sustained an ACL tear on his right knee. The injury has ended the season for Irving, leaving Mavericks crippled with compromised strength.
As per Shams Charania of ESPN, Kyrie Irving's injury has rung the alarm of Anthony Davis' representatives, who may discuss shutting him down doe the remainder of the season.
"I think he and his representatives are going to have some tough conversations. It's possible that the game we just saw was the last time we see AD this season," Charania.
While Anthony Davis is reportedly making progress in his recovery but still no timeline regarding when he will be fully fit has been notified by the Mavericks. So, should he opt to remain out for the remainder of the season, then it will be another massive setback for the Dallas Mavericks. However, on the flip side, it could give him the required time and start afresh next season, with the motivation to lead the Mavs deep in the postseason.
