The ever-consistent Center made a 29-minute appearance in the match, which was enough for him to register 10 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds. While these are not the usual stats that the Slovenian puts on, it made him breach the massive mark of 15000 points. What's extraordinary is that Nikola Jokic is the quickest to reach the point, breaking Larry Bird’s record.

Nika Jokic Becomes the Fastest to Reach 5000 Points in NBA
Larry Bird took 799 games to attain the figure, Nikola Jokic on the other hand has taken 90 games fewer to amass the elusive number of 15000 points. Adding another NBA feat to his name, Jokic has come to a parallel position with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only center in NBA history with 5000 career assists. He entered the game with 4992 assists and reached the 5000-mark with his eighth assist in the third quarter.
Nikola Jokic is currently averaging an impressive 30.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists this season. After missing two games due to illness, Jokic registered a second consecutive triple double. This was his 145th triple-double, a feat that has brought him at level with Russell Westbrook.

Nuggets Register Scintillating Victory Over Mavericks
About the match against the Dallas Mavericks, the struggling home side was no match to the firepower of the Denver Nuggets. Jamal Murry however stood out for the Nuggets in the match to score 45 points. Mavs, who were missing the services of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving could not find an inspiring performance from any of is players in the squad, which resulted in them losing the match by the margin of 19 points. 118-99 was the final score of the match. It was the Nuggets' second win over the Mavericks in three days, and it has further solidified their place at 4th on the Western table.
While they are riding on the momentum, the Denver Nuggets will face a tough task tonight when they take on the Houston Rockets at the Ball Arena.
