The franchise is yet to sign a free agent ahead of the upcoming season, which is around the corner, and the fans might see the Curry brothers playing side by side presumably once the Jonathan Kuminga contract is resolved; apparently, the only holdup has been the team's standoff with this restricted free agent.

Stephen Curry and Seth Curry to play together? Warriors reportedly eye star’s younger brother

As per a report by Marc Stein, there is a strong possibility that the Warriors will acquire Stephen Curry’s younger brother Seth Curry. In addition to this, he will be signed with Al Horford, DeAnthony Melton, and Gary Payton II. The NBA insider stated that there is  “a strong expectation that the Warriors will sign 35-year-old Seth Curry.”

The 35-year-old last played for the Charlotte Hornets. Over his 11 seasons in the league, Curry, who played college basketball for Liberty University, was also a player for famous NBA teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Memphis Grizzlies.

According to Stein, the Warriors, which have “six roster spots open”, might be “filled by Horford, Melton, Payton, Stephen Curry’s younger brother Seth, second-round pick Will Richard and, of course, Kuminga.”

Seth, who has played for nine different teams, will be entering his 13th season in the NBA. The player recorded 6.5 points in 15.6 minutes per game on average in addition to shooting 47.8% from the field and 45.6% from three when he last played with the Hornets in the 2024-25 season.

Curry is currently a free agent after parting ways with the Hornets after just one and a half years of partnership. Meanwhile, the Warriors would want to solve the Kuminga hold-up as soon as possible, as the media day for the side is just days away ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
