Steve Kerr confirms Steph Curry out of 2026 All-Star Game as injury woes persist.

Warriors optimistic Curry could return after the All-Star break against the Celtics.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry will not participate in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. Warriors' coach Steve Kerr confirmed Curry's unavailability from the annual game just an hour before Golden State locked horns with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Curry missed his fourth straight game with patellofemoral pain syndrome.

Steph Curry's struggle with injuries

The four-time NBA Champion secured his 12th All-Star game selection after showing no signs of slowing down during his 17th season in the league. When fit enough, Curry has played well, with his individual brilliance one of the main reasons behind the team's above- .500 record.

Curry is at the end of his career, with injuries occurring more regularly than earlier on. He has faced multiple injuries since last season but continues to keep "Father Time" at bay through will power.

The Warriors can not take Curry's health lightly and need to adopt a serious approach. The franchise is already missing Jimmy Butler, who was earlier ruled out of the entire season with an ACL injury.

Curry is the only real hope for the Warriors to have even an outside chance of making a deep playoff run, which can only take place if he is at his level best.

Latest update on Steph Curry's return from injury?

The Warriors are hoping to get Steph Curry back in the lineup following the All-Star break. The two-time league MVP has 10 more days to rest and get back in proper shape before the Warriors' first game after the break, which is against the Boston Celtics on February 10.

"He’s (Curry) doing well," Kerr told reporters. "That’s the hope. It’s really kind of a day-to-day thing, so it’s hard to predict for sure whether he’ll be playing that first game after the break, but that’s definitely the hope. The idea is if he can get through everything this week, that puts him on pace to be playing then."

Curry has already missed 14 fixtures this season because of multiple injuries. He is averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 46.8% from the floor, consisting of 39.1% from deep, across 39 matches.

Currently, the Warriors are riding on a 28-25 record, seven games ahead of the 11th place Memphis Grizzlies and 3.5 games behind the sixth-place Minnesota Timberwolves.
