The Chicago Bulls’ NBA clash against the Miami Heat was postponed on Thursday night at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, after a two-hour delay. The two were scheduled to face each other as the Bulls were set to attempt to end a three-game losing streak. However, the game was postponed after a nearly two-hour delay due to condensation on the court.
Why was Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat NBA game postponed?
According to the officials, the reason for the delay was the “court conditions,” while the moisture surrounded the court at the United Centre. The Workers tried to dry the surface using mops and towels before the game was postponed to 8:53, which didn't work out.
Following the delay, the condition prompts boos from the fans and the crowd. The players were seen dribbling, shooting, and chatting at the beginning of the delay while the maintenance personnel pushed large mops across the court.
The teams later departed from the court at 8:45 p.m. without attempting to warm up as the temperature in Chicago reached the mid-50s. According to the NBA, "the date for the rescheduled game will be announced at a later time." Additionally, the tickets for the game on Thursday, which was postponed, will be “valid for the rescheduled game" as per the Bulls.
