With rivalry also comes a mutual respect and admiration for each other, despite competing with each other for years now, and this is what Bueckers wanted to share about the comparisons. The 24-year-old, during her appearance on the podcast "Not Gonna Lie," hosted by Kylie Kelce, said:

"It's crazy because everyone has been pitting me and Caitlin against each other for the longest time.”

The point guard further said:

“And we're cool, we're friends. But again, it's respect for the competition, so we understand that.”

The former UConn Huskiers star further explained:

"We understand how the media works and how they want to pit two people against each other and they're supposed to hate each other, and blah blah blah. So we all understand that, and it's all in the love of the game."

Beuckers shared about when she and Clark played together during their junior Olympic level. Both of them were younger in high school, and “it was always fun time.” Meanwhile, the two are set to face off against each other on May 9 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the league kicks off its 30th season.

The high-profile fixture is already a subject of discussion following their fierce rivalry. However, it has also been expected that the two soon be teammates.
