Lakers’ JJ Redick has a message for fans who predicted LeBron James’ retirement
Redick gave a blunt response to all the retirement noise made by the fans online, which spread like wildfire. When asked about the situation, the Lakers coach replied:
“You guys are idiots.”
The 41-year-old further said:
“We all knew it was an ad, right? Nobody was freaking out.”
The superstar forward’s post regarding “The Second Decision” was reminiscent of his famous 2010 decision when he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat.
The post by the Lakers forward generated a considerable buzz among the fans who really thought it was over. However, when the decision was finally revealed, it was thankfully not what the fans had predicted. It was instead a creative marketing masterstroke; a new Hennessy campaign which is celebrating the next phase of its partnership with the luxury cognac brand.
