Royal Challengers Bengaluru's veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik revealed a shocking tale of how Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya tried to sledge him during a match in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. However, he revealed that nothing of it was serious and it was just a slight banter as the MI skipper tried to troll him.

It is quite visible that, teammates and friends get involved in hilarious banters during IPL matches, Hardik and Dinesh were part of one such segment when the star all-rounder took a couple of shots during a MI vs RCB match in IPL 2024.
"Hardik Pandya sledged me then I played a couple of shots and then he was like ‘looks like he has improved a bit.He was also like even after becoming a commentator, he is working on his game, that was fun," Dinesh Karthik revealed on Cricbuzz.

MI had a really disappointing season as they finished at the bottom of the table. On the other hand, RCB made a great comeback and made it into the playoffs after being on the bottom for the first half of the season but their journey was cut short in the playoffs by Rajasthan Royals. Dinesh Karthik most likely played his final IPL season and on the other hand, Hardik Pandya suffered a one-match ban at the end of this season, which will be in effect in IPL 2025.

After the IPL 2024, all of the focus has been shifted to the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. Hardik Pandya has been named the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team for the mega tournament and joined the team in the USA after spending some time in London. He arrived and even participated in the first practice session.
He is set to be available for the warm-up fixture against Bangladesh on June 1. Hardik will be a crucial asset for the Men in Blue side with both bat and ball. His contribution and experience can be gam-changing for the inaugural champions, who are looking forward to end their ICC trophy drought.
