'Immediately apologise to Haris Rauf': PCB to take legal action against the fan who was involved in fight with Pakistan speedster

PCB to take legal action against the fan who was involved in a verbal spat with Haris Rauf.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi warned the fan who was involved in a heated argument with speedster Haris Rauf in the United States while he was walking with his wife. Naqvi said that the board will not tolerate such behaviour with their players. 

 

Rauf was walking with his wife Muzna Masood Malik when the Pakistani fan displayed rowdy behaviour. Muzna wanted Rauf to ignore the comments but Rauf was angered by them. He rushed to confront the fan where a few officials intervened. It was followed by a heated exchange between the two as Muzna tried to calm him down. 

 

Naqvi took his 'X' formerly known as twitter asked the fan to immediately apologise to Haris Rauf and if they will not do that then the board will take legal action against the individual responsible.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi's warning for Haris Rauf incident

 

 

"Strongly condemn the appalling incident involving Haris Rauf. Such actions against our players are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those who are involved must immediately apologise to Haris Rauf, failing which we will pursue legal action against the individual responsible." Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement.
 

 

Haris Rauf reveals reason behind his action
 

Haris Rauf's statement on the altercation shows that the fan allegedly made some remarks about Rauf's family which led to the aggressive reaction from the star cricketer. He called out all fans and said, nobody has the right to target their family and everyone's family must be respected.

 

“I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions,” Haris Rauf said in a post he shared from his official ‘X’ account, formerly known as Twitter.
