Rishabh Pant didn't mince his words and criticised the bowlers for being all over the place.

DC conceded the second-highest total in IPL history as KKR posted a mammoth total of 272/7 in 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant slammed his bowlers for lacking discipline against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on April 3 (Wednesday) in Visakhapatnam. The DC bowling attack was taken to the cleaners by KKR batters, who combined to smash 18 sixes and 22 fours. DC conceded the second-highest total in IPL history as KKR posted a mammoth total of 272/7 in 20 overs.

After the game, DC captain Rishabh Pant didn't mince his words and criticised the bowlers for being all over the place. Pant also revealed that DC went after the target but things didn't work out how they wanted it to as they lost the game by 106 runs.

"We were just all over the place (with the ball), we could have done better, and it is one of those days I feel. As a batting unit, we talked about going hard (after the target) and that's how we approach these games because it is better to be all-out trying to go for the total than not chase it down," Pant told the broadcaster after the game, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Pant on DRS howlers

The Delhi Capitals made a couple of major errors when it came to the DRS. Pant failed to take the review in the stipulated 15 seconds when Sunil Narine nicked the ball and was caught behind the stumps. Similarly, Pant opted against the review when Shreyas Iyer nicked a ball late in KKR's innings.

After the game, Pant explained why those errors were made and switched focus to the noise inside the stadium along with the big screen problem.

"It was quite loud (the venue) and couldn't see the timer on the screen (talking about the non-DRS moments) and there was some issue with the screen as well, there are some things you can control and some you cannot control, you just need to go with the flow," Pant said.

Pant on his fitness

Pant looked in visible discomfort during the match against the KKR. It seemed like the DC skipper was facing trouble with his knee, especially after wicket-keeping for two overs as Delhi took a lot of time to finish their innings with the ball. Pant spoke about his fitness after the game and said he is enjoying each and every day.

"I am enjoying each and every day (talking about his fitness and comeback) and cricket has its own ups and downs, and at the same time you can try and give your best as an individual," Pant added.
