Star India cricketer KL Rahul is on a path of diligent rehabilitation, aiming for a triumphant return in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Nestled within the supportive environment of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, Rahul has been channeling his efforts toward full recovery, following his absence from the final four Tests of the series against England. The anticipation is building as Rahul sets his sights on leading the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the upcoming IPL season.
Through his social media, Rahul recently shared glimpses of his rigorous training regime at the NCA, accompanied by an upbeat caption, "Hi," signaling his positive strides towards recovery.
KL Rahul missed final four Tests against England
KL Rahul's journey back to full fitness comes after a setback with his right quadriceps, which necessitated a consultation with a medical team in London, post his commendable 86-run innings in the opening Test against England in Hyderabad.
Despite the initial disappointment of India's loss in that match and the further blow of losing Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja to injuries for the subsequent Test, the team's spirit remained unshaken. Jadeja's return for the third Test added a glimmer of hope, while Rahul's ongoing recovery has been under the careful watch of the BCCI's medical team, in coordination with London specialists, to address his quadriceps issue effectively.
