Rohit Sharma wins international cricketer of the year award
The star of the evening was India captain Rohit Sharma, who was crowned the Men's International Cricketer of the Year. Rohit's outstanding performances across all formats of the game made him a deserving recipient of this prestigious award. In 2023, Rohit amassed an impressive 1,800 international runs. His ODI batting was particularly noteworthy, as he scored 1,255 runs at an impressive average of 52.59. Rohit's contributions were crucial during the World Cup, where he amassed 597 runs, securing the second-highest run-scorer position in the tournament.
Best ODI Batter of the Year award goes to Virat Kohli
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli's exceptional consistency with the bat in ODIs was recognised with the Best ODI Batter of the Year award. Kohli's remarkable form in 2023 saw him accumulate 1,377 runs, including six centuries and eight fifties. His most outstanding performance came during the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he dominated the batting charts. Kohli finished as the leading run-scorer of the tournament, amassing 765 runs in 11 matches at an astonishing average of 95.62. During the World Cup, Kohli achieved a historic milestone, equaling Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most centuries in ODI cricket. This further solidified his position as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game.
Rahul Dravid bags Lifetime Achievement Award
Rahul Dravid, the former India head coach, was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Dravid recently played a pivotal role in ending India's trophy drought by guiding the team to victory in the T20 World Cup held in Barbados. Renowned for his significant contributions to Indian cricket as both a player and coach, Dravid received a heartfelt standing ovation from the audience. The award served as a recognition of his lasting legacy and the profound impact he has made on the sport in India.

India's ace pacer Mohammed Shami was honored with the Best ODI Bowler of the Year award following his impressive performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
