Indian captain Rohit Sharma along with young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on Monday created history by breaking the all-time record of fastest team hundred in the history of Test cricket. Both openers were seen following the T20 batting strategy during the fourth day of the second Test match at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. India have reached the 100-run mark in just 10.1 overs beating their previous fastest hundred of 12.2 overs from a match against the West Indies in 2023.
Jaiswal was smashing the bowlers to all over the ground smashing 68 runs off 41 balls, with 12 fours and 2 sixes. His aggressive approach, along with support from Shubman Gill (11 off 11 balls), pushed India's run rate to over 10 runs per over.
