Kicking off the year, Sri Lanka's first engagement will be a home series against Zimbabwe in January 2024.This series will include three ODIs and three T20Is, offering an exciting start to their cricketing year.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has recently unveiled their international cricket schedule for 2024, highlighting a packed calendar that includes a notable six-match white-ball series against India. Scheduled for July 2024 after the T20 World Cup, this series will comprise three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is), showcasing a competitive cricketing encounter between the two neighboring nations.

Kicking off the year, Sri Lanka's first engagement will be a home series against Zimbabwe in January 2024. This series will include three ODIs and three T20Is, offering an exciting start to their cricketing year. Following this, Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in a comprehensive series encompassing one test match, three ODIs, and three T20Is, set for January and February.

Ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, to be hosted by the West Indies and the United States, the Sri Lankan team will embark on an all-format tour to Bangladesh. This tour promises to be a crucial preparation phase for the global tournament.

Apart from these engagements, 2024 will also see Sri Lanka hosting several FTP (Future Tours Programme) tours. Teams like India, New Zealand, and the West Indies are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka, adding further dynamism to their cricketing calendar.

Mid-year, the Sri Lankan team is slated to tour England for a challenging three-match test series. This will be followed by overseas tours to South Africa and New Zealand towards the end of 2024, rounding off a year filled with diverse and challenging cricketing assignments.

"We are heading into a highly exciting year with a lot of international cricket to be played, which augurs well for us, as our team will be engaged in competitive cricket year around," said Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.

This action-packed schedule reflects Sri Lanka Cricket's commitment to maintaining a vibrant cricketing ecosystem, offering ample opportunities for the national team to showcase their talent and compete at the highest levels of international cricket.
