Bangladesh will face India for two-Test match series

Bangladesh Cricket Team are currently in India for the two Test match series against Rohit Sharma & Co. which is scheduled to start from September 19 and the first match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India versus second Test match will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Bangladesh must be confident because they are coming after defeating Pakistan in for the first time in a Test series.

Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer lavished praise on Bangladesh cricket ahead of 1st Test match. He reckoned that Bangladesh cricketers have changed their mindset and now want to play on bouncy pitches with a bit of a pace.

“I feel they have changed their mindset. They want to play on bouncy pitches with a bit of a pace even at home. The series they won against Afghanistan was played on fast and bouncy pitches (Ebadot Hossain and Taskin Ahmed starred in the victory). And from there I feel there has been a slight shift in mindset that they are not going to win only with spin,” Jaffer said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Jaffer also said that their squad have a few seniors like Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim who will guide them before the clashes. He also said that Bangladesh have done well in the piches away from home considering their maiden Test win against Pakistan on their home soil.

“They have become better with experience. They were known to play well in Bangladesh, but lately, they have also toured well. They have beaten New Zealand in New Zealand (2002 at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui), beaten Pakistan in Pakistan. In limited-overs cricket, they have done well in patches away from home. They have quite a few seniors to guide them. Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim have been there for so long,” Jaffer added.

India and Bangladesh have played 13 Test matches against each other where they managed to win 11 and 2 matches ended as a draw. Bangladesh are still looking for their maiden Test win against India.
