Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam who is currently going through a rough patch in his career was seen practising for the upcoming Champions Cup 2024 which is a white ball tournament poised to launch on September 12 in Faisalabad, Pakistan.


Babar was seen sweating out in the ground ahead of the upcoming white-ball domestic tournament, A video of the former Pakistan captain is going viral where he suffered a rare and surprising dismissal.  Attempting a paddle sweep, Babar misjudged the delivery, allowing the ball to sneak under his bat and crash into the middle stumps. Pakistan Cricket are also currently facing a major downfall. After becoming the T20 World Cup 2022 finalists the team failed to qualify for the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2023 and they also lost a T20 World Cup 2024 clash against the not-Test playing team United States.

After losing the Test series against Bangladesh, Pakistan will now face England for the three-Test match series scheduled to start from October 7. England team will travel to Pakistan on September 11 for the red-ball series. 


Babar Azam will represent Stallions in the upcoming Champions Cup where he will be playing as a player under Mohammad Haris's captaincy. Babar will look to regain his form in the upcoming domestic assignment considering the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 which will be hosted by Pakistan next year.
