Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni who last featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was spotted spending time with his friends in the United States of America ahead of a mega auction. The former India captain also watched the National Football League (NFL) match in Michigan. Dhoni's last IPL match was against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) where his team lost the league match and got out of the tournament. During that match, Dhoni left the ground soon after the loss before shaking hands with rival RCB.
During IPL 2024 there were reports that it was Dhoni's last IPL for CSK as a player and all these speculations caught fire when the franchise announced Ruturaj Gaikwad as their new captain. However, Dhoni has not yet said anything about his IPL retirement.
A video and pictures of former CSK skipper is going viral where he can be seen enjoying vacations with his friends in USA. Here is the clip.

Will Dhoni feature in IPL 2025?
According to Cricbuzz, the BCCI is contemplating the controversial idea of classifying retired international players as uncapped.
With the rules for IPL 2025 player regulations and retention still pending, Dhoni has stated that he will wait for the official guidelines before deciding whether he wants to continue playing.
“There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court. So, once the rules and regulations get formalised, I will take a call, but needs to be in the best interest of the team,” said Dhoni at a promotional event in Hyderabad earlier in August this year.
