SportsTak understands that he pleaded not guilty, explaining his defence that his 6-0 refers to nothing and it is not directed towards India.

"Haris Rauf also pleaded Not Guilty. In his hearing, he said 6-0 refers to nothing. How can it be directed towards India? What’s the meaning of 6-0 he asked ICC personnel. ICC said- we don’t know. So he said exactly, it has no reference to India at all" a source privy to the development told Sports Tak

The hearing took place at the Pakistan team hotel, and it was conducted by match referee Richie Richardson. Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan appeared in person even though the responses given by them were in writing. They were with Pakistan's team manager Naveed Akram Cheema.

Will Haris Rauf be banned?

Sources also confirmed that Haris Rauf is likely to receive fines from the ICC, and the fines could range from 50 to 100% of their match fee. He will not be banned. However, the ICC is yet to come out with an official statement on the matter.
