India captain Suryakumar Yadav once again didn't shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha as the 'handshake controversy' was reignited. The two captains walked past each other during the toss for their Super 4 clash in Asia Cup. Both of them hadn't shook hands when the teams met each other earlier in the tournament and they did the same in the second match.
Suryakumar won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India made two changes in their playing XI for the high-voltage clash against Pakistan. They brought in Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy into the team in place of Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.

Meanwhile, India come into this match having won all of their games in the tournament so far. The Men in Blue won all of their three matches in the gorup stage and showcased why they are the clear favourites to win the cvoveted Asia Cup title for a record ninth time in their history. India totally dominated during the matches as they first handed hosts UAE a 9-wicket loss before defeating Pakistan comfortably by 7 wickets. They then beat Oman by 21 runs in their final group stage fixture.

On the other hand, Pakistan did defeat Oman and UAE to book their place in the Super 4 stage, however they weren't quite convincing with their performances They especially struggled in the batting department wi th opener Saim Ayub in particular going through a horrific run of form. The left-hand batter ended up recording ducks in all of the Men in Green's group stage matches and will be desperate to improve in the clash against India.
