'If you go into stats and players..' Legendary Kapil Dev gives verdict on winner of India-Pakistan clash

The arch-rivals India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns with each other in a high-octane Asia Cup slugfest on blockbuster Sunday (August 28). The neighbouring nations are facing each other for the first time after Babar Azam-led side humiliated India by 10-wickets in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

However, Rohit Sharma & Co. are eagerly waiting to settle old scores with the unfamiliar foes Pakistan going into the marquee tournament.

Meanwhile, right ahead of the 'mother of all battles' the legendary Kapil Dev has given his verdict on the winner of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup clash as he feels that T20 is a format of margins, and the team which will play better will eventually win.

But unapologetically, the former India skipper said that Team India seems stronger on paper, and the players have more experience, as compared to their Pakistan counterparts.

"You can't be sure about anything in T20. You can predict to some extent in ODIs and Tests, but it is very difficult to predict in T20s. I will say that our team has experience and they are better, but we were better last time as well. They played better than us. So, it's quite difficult to say anything. Still, if you go into stats and players, Indian team is far better. But it all depends on how the side plays on that particular day," the legendary all-rounder said in a video uploaded on YouTube show 'Uncut'.

India are placed in Group A, alongside Pakistan and Hong Kong.
