Former India skipper Virat Kohli is one of the most energetic cricketers in the world. Whether he scores a century or gets out early, his energy in the field is unmatched. In the dead rubber Asia Cup match against Bangladesh, Kohli was rested along with four others as Rohit Sharma looked to test the bench strength. But Kohli was not content with watching the match from the dressing room as he carried drinks for the team with Mohammed Siraj. The 34-year-old had fun while doing it as well and ran funnily to the team huddle. Behind him, Siraj was smiling seeing Kohli enjoy the ‘water boy’ duties.

In the game against Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Rohit announced five changes to the side at the coin toss. Tilak Varma was handed his ODI debut cap. Apart from Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Siraj were rested as well. Prasidh Krishna, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav, and Mohammed Shami got a chance to test themselves against an inexperienced Bangladesh side.

“We are gonna field first. It is something we haven't done in the tournament, we haven't done it under lights so it gives us an opportunity to bat under lights. The wicket honestly has got everything for everyone. Pacers who bend their back in the daytime have also got movement and there have been assistance for the spinners. Got to be brave and play your natural game. We got to give game time to some other guys who haven't played. We have made five changes. Virat, Hardik, Siraj, Bumrah and Kuldeep are out. Tilak makes his debut. Shami and Prasidh also come in. Suryakumar also gets a game,” Rohit said after winning the toss.

Kohli has registered two single-digit scores in the tournament so far. But he took the Pakistan bowling attack down on the reserve day of Super Fours clash. Kohli scored his 47th ODI century and was adjudged the ‘Player of the match’. During the knock, he also became the fastest to 13,000 runs in ODI cricket.
