The top bosses of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) were reportedly annoyed at former skipper and superstar, Virat Kohli, after the maverick batter shared his yo-yo test score on Instagram. According to a report in The Indian Express, the BCCI has verbally communicated it to all players to 'avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms'.
"Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause," The Indian Express quoted a BCCI official.
On August 24 (Thursday), Kohli took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself after completing the yo-yo test. The maverick Indian batter, who is known for his exceptional fitness in the world of cricket, also shared the scored that he attained.
"The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done," Kohli had posted on Instagram.
Ahead of the 2023 Asia Cup, the Indian players have assembled in Bengaluru for a six-day camp before they leave for Sri Lanka to participate in the continental competition. All players are expected to prove their fitness by clearing the yo-yo test. India's first match in the Asia Cup will be against arch-rivals Pakistan, scheduled to be played on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
