The India women's cricket team is set to enter directly into the quarterfinals of the Asian Games 2023 cricket event and will face Malaysia in their match at the ZJUT Cricket Field in Hangzhou, China, on September 21.
Malaysia made it to the quarters after they beat Hong Kong in their only group game. The other teams to make it to the quarters are Indonesia, who thrashed Mongolia by 172 runs, Hong Kong, who also thrashed Mongolia by 180 runs, and Thailand. These three sides will play Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively.
India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been granted direct entry into the quarter-finals in the women's tournament, which will have eight teams.
