KL Rahul is going through the roughest patch of his cricketing career. In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia, the star India batter has miserably failed to score big in the first two Tests which has brought his performance under strict scrutiny. However, India are leading the four-match Test series 2-0 after registering emphatic victories in Nagpur and Delhi Test.

Meanwhile, right ahead of the third Test which will be played in Indore from March 1, Rahul along with his wife Athiya Shetty visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday (February 26). The couple was dressed in traditional attire and sought the almighty's blessing.

Here's the video…

Rahul and Athiya tied the knot after dating for many years on January 23 in Sunil Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala, near Mumbai.

Australia suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series. The visitors lost the first match by an innings and 132 runs and then followed it up with six wicket hammering in Delhi Test. India wrapped up both the matches within three days to dent Australia's confidence. Right after the conclusion of second Test, BCCI announced India's squad for the third and fourth Test. But one thing which grabbed everyone's attention was that Rahul was removed from the vice-captaincy post for the remainder of the series. So, it will be interesting to see whether he will make it to India's final XI for the Indore Test or not. Meanwhile, some claim that Shubman Gill stands a good chance to replace the 30-year-old

Rahul has scores of 22, 23, 10, 2, 20, 17 and 1 in his last seven innings. With the young Gill waiting in the wings despite his stellar run across formats, the pressure is increasing on Rahul. The 30-year-old has drawn a lot of flak for his dismal show with the bat in the ongoing series as he has scored just 38 runs in the first two Tests. A lot of cricket pundits including Venkatesh Prasad has been criticising Rahul as to why he has been getting a long rope. Rahul, who has been misfiring with the bat, has a highest score of 23 in his last 10 Test innings.
