India's premier pacer Mohammed Siraj was dethroned from the top spot by Australia's Josh Hazlewood in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for ODI bowlers. Siraj slipped to third place after taking a beating from Australian openers Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh in the Visakhapatnam ODI which India lost by 10 wickets.

Hazlewood who has not played a single ODI this year due to injury has become the no.1 ODI bowler for the first time in his career. Another Australian pacer saw a rise in the rankings. In-form left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc was rewarded for his fifer in Visakhapatnam ODI. Starc is now joint-third alongside Siraj.

Mohammed Shami who took three wickets for just 17 runs in Wankhede ODI moved up five sports to reach 28th in the rankings.

KL Rahul was rewarded for his match-winning unbeaten 75 in the low-scoring encounter. The wicketkeeper-batter is now ranked 39th as he moved up three places.

Currently, Indian opener Shubman Gill, top-order Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma are the three batters in top 10. Gill is ranked fifth followed by Kohli on seventh and Rohit on ninth.

The top spot in ODI batters rankings is occupied by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. There was one more change in the top 10 batter rankings. Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq moved to third position which he now shares with South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock.

In the all-rounder’s rankings, Bangladesh's Mehedi Hasan Miraz moved to fifth spot as Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza slipped one place.

In the Test format, former New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson moved up to the second spot, just behind Marnus Labuschagne after a 215-run knock against Sri Lanka in the Wellington Test. Earlier Williamson had pulled off a last-ball run chase in the Christchurch Test as well.

Another Kiwi batter made progress after a double century in Wellington Test. Henry Nicholls made a massive jump of 20 spots to reach 27th place.

In the same Test series, Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne got good starts but could not convert them into big scores. Karunaratne was Sri Lanka's highest-run getter in the series with three half-centuries. The left-handed opener is on 10th spot.
