India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is all set for a comeback as he has cleared fitness test issued by National Cricket Academy (NCA).
“Ravindra Jadeja's fitness report is fine and he will be available for the selection for Test match was Australia,” the source confirmed to Sports Tak.
While Shreyas Iyer is all but ruled out of the first Test at Nagpur starting February 9, Jadeja clearing fitness test is a big boost for Rohit Sharma-led India.
Earlier Jadeja led Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy 2022-23 clash in his return to competitive cricket. Jadeja made headlines as he took seven wickets in the second innings to stun Tamil Nadu.
The 34-year-old will join the rest of the squad in Nagpur as they prepare in a short camp ahead of the four-Test series that will decide India's fate in ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23.
Last year, Jadeja came back home midway through Asia Cup for knee surgery. He ended up missing the T20 World Cup 2022 and several bilateral series at home.
